Punk Glamour-Adding an Edge to Glam with Maddy

So, last month I had this cool idea to do a punk inspired boudoir photo shoot on the beach. My friend Maddy (She did Film Noir and the light and shadow experiments with me earlier in the year) had recently cut her hair into a mowhawk and pierced her nose. She was the inspiration behind the idea of punk boudoir, and so I asked her if she’d be interested. Of course she jumped at the idea. She asked if we could also do a few images in the glamour style so she could have pictures to show and give to her family. Not a problem!

Well, you see when I showed up at her place, and she lives near a beach, we got right to the glamour outfits and shots that she could share with her family. And we never worked our way out of the glamour photographs and onto the beach boudoir! We had such a good time throwing together outfits from her closet and my costume bin, and pairing these up with the amazing location variation that is her home, we never left for the beach, or ran out of clothes and had to switch to the lingerie.

We got some absolutely stunning and creative images, that I know she loves and is going to love to gift to her boyfriend andher family this holiday season, so we weren’t terribly disappointed in no beach bousoir. We’re saving that concept for a whole second shoot at a later date. Probably closer to the summer, when it gets warmer out again. Brr, boudoir in the freezing rain…. no thanks!
